Performers sang Abba classic Dancing Queen as the programme started and the routine featured Holly as the camera panned towards her during the chorus when they sang “Ooh, see that girl, watch that scene, digging the dancing queen”.
The 42-year-old was all smiles for her return as she hosted alongside Alison Hammond.
The pair detailed their disappointment that the summery weather seemed to have started as they returned to work and the children headed back to school.
Holly has been enjoying a summer break for a few months and a range of other presenters have stood in to host the show.
Last week, co-hosts Rochelle Humes and Andi Peters announced that Holly would be back on screens and confirmed that she would be joined by fan favourite Alison Hammond for her first two days back.
After nearly two months off, Holly seemed delighted to jump back into her role following her welcome party.
After Phillip Schofield stepped down earlier this year after his affair with a much younger This Morning employee, ITV bosses explained that no one would be replacing him and that there would instead be a rotating roster of stars joining Holly as co-hosts.
This would include Alison and Dermot, as well as Josie Gibson and Craig Doyle.
This Morning airs weekdays from 10am on ITV.
