This Morning star Gyles Brandreth shared the happy news that his daughter, Saethryd Brandreth, has tied the knot with her husband in a magical Venice wedding ceremony.
The proud dad took to Instagram to share a sweet snap of his daughter smiling from ear to ear as she appeared to be about to kiss her new husband. The picture gave a glimpse of her beautiful veil which was complete with a lace hem and was placed on her blonde locks.
Gyles described the wedding as a “heart-warming life-enhancing day” as he wrote a heartfelt caption. He said: “My daughter on her wedding day – & (next) on one of the earlier days that featured in the proud father of the bride’s speech.
“A magical, memorable day in Venice celebrating the marriage of Saethryd & Mark. A heart-warming life-enhancing day of congratulatory cheers & happy tears.”
Fans were quick to send their congratulatory messages as one penned: "Congratulations to you all xxx Very proud Daddy moment I imagine", while another said: "Happy for you and your daughter. May this be the beginning of a long and happy marriage for your daughter."
A third sweetly added: "She looks beautiful Gyles – many congratulations to them both & all the best for their future married life", while another said: "Lovely news Gyles. Congratulations to you all. X"
The exciting news also got its own shout-out on Tuesday’s episode of This Morning where Gyles shared some stunning snaps with hosts Holly Willoughby and Craig Doyle.
A gorgeous snap popped up on the screen of Gyles and his daughter Saethryd stood next to each other with a stunning view of the Venice skyline in the background.
Gyles cut a smart figure in a dark grey suit over a white shirt, paired with a grey tie, while the blushing bride stunned in a satin dress.
Speaking about his time at the wedding, Gyles said on the daytime show: "There is my lovely daughter Saethryd, well done her, she was beautiful and he is very handsome."
Holly then stated that Gyles must have done "the best" father of the bride speech, before Gyles said: "well it began quite well and then of course it ended in tears, happy tears."
The proud dad continued: "it was a marvelous thing, a fantastic thing".
