THE ITV series The Bay gripped audiences back in 2019, and now it is back for its third season.
Take a moment to familiarise yourself with what happened in the previous two seasons.
What happened in The Bay season one?
WARNING: Contains spoilers for series one.
The show kicked off with the DS Lisa Armstrong on a night out where she had sex with local man Sean Meredith in an alleyway.
Then, there was news that local teenagers Holly and Dylan had gone missing – Lisa was assigned to their case and Sean was their dad.
In the background we saw Lisa's daughter get involved with dealing drugs for local man Vincent.
Lisa's son Rob was also involved in a dangerous online dare game.
Dylan's body was found washed up on the beach – and Holly's bag was found in the sea.
Later, vulnerable adult Nick was accused of knowing what happened to the twins – Sean and his twisted brother-in-law Ryan took him hostage, with Ryan beating him to a pulp.
Nick later revealed he had helped Holly hide as she was frightened after Dylan's death and she was found in the old derelict lido.
We also found out that Sean and Ryan had been transporting drugs in the fishing boat.
What happened in The Bay season two?
WARNING: Contains major spoilers for season 2.
The second series of The Bay focuses on the murder of businessman Stephen Marshbrook, who was assassinated on his doorstep in from of his son Oliver in episode 1.
After many dead end roads, it was finally revealed in the final episode – and it's not who you think it would be.
Stephen's wife Rose was having an affair and stealing money from the family business account so she could run off with her lover, who is her daughter Grace's boss, Frank Mercer.
Frank hires a hitman to bump him off.
The series also shows that DC Lisa Armstrong's ex husband Andy had only come as he had been kicked out of the house by his current girlfriend.
The final episode ends with Lisa telling her daughter Abbie the truth about her dad and the family being stronger than ever after he left.

When is The Bay season 3 on ITV?
The Bay series 3 will air on ITV on Wednesday, January 11.
Viewers can tune into the channel from 9pm for the hour-long instalment.
The third season is made up of six episodes, all of which will air weekly at the time.
Cobra star Marsha Thomason will also be joining the cast.
She will be playing Morecambe CID’s new Family Liaison Officer, DS Jenn Townsend, after Morven Christie’s left the show.
