WWE rumors: Alexa Bliss return date possibly revealed for 2019

Alexa Bliss has been out of action since suffering a concussion in a botched move in a match at a WWE house show. Since that injury, Bliss has worked in an onscreen role that did not require wrestling and has even moved into an interesting semi-GM role for the women on the Monday Night Raw roster.

However, earlier this week, Mark Henry appeared on Busted Open Radio and revealed that Bliss has been cleared to return to WWE ring action.

Bliss herself hinted at that last week when she started posting pictures of her working out at the WWE Performance Center and preparing for her WWE return.

She even posted a fun photo of her and indie legend Mike Quackenbush sitting in the ring together while he was there working as a guest trainer on her Day 2 photo of returning to training.

While this is all promising, it sounds like the WWE is not planning on rushing Alexa Bliss back to the ring. Currently, there is a feud going on between Ronda Rousey and Nia Jax and an increased push for the Riott Squad in their feud with Natalya.

All the while, Alexa Bliss is working in the role of an authority figure.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that the WWE is considering keeping Bliss in that role until 2019. The idea is for Bliss to finally make her return to the wrestling ring at the Royal Rumble.

The reports indicate that the training at the WWE Performance Center is to work with her on lessening the bumps she takes and that there is no hurry to rush her back and risk further concussion issues.

The WWE Royal Rumble will take place on January 27, 2019.
