ONE outspoken former Strictly star claims that Zara McDermott got a 'free pass' on the show.
The former Made In Chelsea star received her highest score to date with her Viennese Waltz where she was given a score of 28 by the judges.
However former professional dancer Brendan Cole believes she was given lenient scores by the judges.
The star took part in 15 series of Strictly Come Dancing before he was axed by bosses in 2018.
And he thinks that Zara's most recent dance was all style and not much substance.
He told Sky Bingo: "I thought the marking was pretty good on Saturday, it was actually quite cohesive. They were very praising of Zara and Graziano which I thought was weird because it wasn't a good dance.

"It looked very pretty and all romantic and glamorous, but the dance itself, the technique of the dance, wasn't up to much.
I think she got a free pass this week in terms of it looked so beautiful – the whole number, the dress, the look, the elegance, the set, the smoke on the floor, the hiding of the feet – it's all very clever stuff."
Brendan added: "I haven't been a fan so far – it was definitely an improvement and a beautiful looking number, just not a very good one."
Zara previously herself in the dance-off after she receiving a score of 25 from the judges towards the bottom of the leaderboard in the third week.

We previously reported Zara's plan to stay in ine competition as it's been revealed that she's messaging everyone she knows personally asking if they'll ring her Strictly phone number off the hook.
A source told The Sun: "Zara got a massive fright being in the bottom two last week.
"In fact, she was heartbroken. She made it her mission to get in touch with as many of her high-profile friends as possible to spread the word about voting.
"She asked lots of people with influence to make sure they were ringing off the hook during Saturday night's vote.
"She knows she has a lot of followers, but if they don't pick up the phone to vote then she's going to be in the dance off again."
