Four men broke into a Brooklyn apartment and robbed a woman of almost $90,000 on Thursday, police said.
Soon after the 39-year-old victim arrived home near East 22nd Street and Foster Street in Kensington at 2 p.m., four thugs — who were hiding in her apartment — surrounded her and held her up at gunpoint, cops said.
At one point they hit her in the back of the head with the gun, police added.
The thieves demanded her to open the safe, making off with $35,000 in cash, as well as jewelry — earrings, rings and bracelets — valued at about $50,000, cops said.
The men then ran out of the apartment on foot and are still on the loose. No further details about the suspects are known.
The 39-year-old was transported to an area hospital to be treated.
