Bizarre moment rapper Goonew’s 'embalmed body' is propped up in nightclub as mourners rave at his own funeral

BIZARRE footage circulating online appears to show mourners raving alongside the rapper Goonew at his funeral.

An event titled The Final Show Goonew was held at Bliss nightclub in Washington DC on Sunday – weeks after the star, 24, was shot dead.

Pictures circulating online shows what appears to be the rapper standing up at the event.

Speculation online suggests his embalmed body was erected inside the club but The Sun has been unable to verify the claims.

It's not known if it is his embalmed body or a mannequin.

Goonew, real name Markelle Morrow, was wearing sneakers, ripped pants, a bling watch, and a dark blue Amiri sweater.

Others branded it “disgusting” while some described the footage as “wild”.

Last month, Goonew was shot dead in Maryland.

Officers found the rapper with gunshot wounds in a parking lot.

The rapper was nearly killed last July after allegedly suffering from gunshot wounds.

His mom Patrice Parker Morrow told WUSA9: “He had a heart bigger than his body, when they took him, they took me.”

She said her son was killed while he was on the way to give his sister a birthday gift.

Goonew's family confirmed that he was fatally shot in the back after the killers stole his watch.

His mom said: “They took his chain. They took his watch. He gave it up and they still shot him in his back."

The rapper started making a name for himself when he and fellow DMV rapper, Lil Dude, released a joint tape titled Homicide Boat.

He rapped in the first verse: “Homicide Boyz and we keep a chopper. Grab the draco, bouta hit his partner.”

Meanwhile in his song "Shots Fired", the artist rapped about shooting carelessly.

And, in his collaboration with the musician Hoodrich Pablo Juan called Take Down, Goonew rapped about carrying a gun in an unsafe neighborhood.

In July 2018, Goonew released his most notable album named Bug 64, which had 11 songs to his name.
