Boy, 2, dies three days after mom’s boyfriend ‘filmed himself viciously punching and choking the helpless toddler'

A TWO-year-old boy died days after his mom’s boyfriend allegedly punched and choked him while screaming "do you love me."

Jameson Long lost his fight for life at the Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City while being treated for his shocking injuries.

Brian O’Grodnick is alleged to have filmed himself choking the boy while making him beg for water.

He pretended to punch the boy twice to scare him, then landed an actual blow on the toddler’s face, the Joplin Globe reported.

Cops arrested O’Grodnick, 22, on Sunday – three days before the child died – and charged him with four counts of felony child abuse.

He is likely to face upgraded charges in the wake of his alleged victim’s death, say reports.

When cops arrived at the family home in Joplin, Jameson had reportedly stopped breathing.

Life-saving measures were then performed on the child before he was rushed to hospital.

According to court documents, sometime between April 1 through May 31, 2020, O’Grodnick – not the boy’s biological father – abused the child.

Investigators say at least four of the incidents were discovered on videos on the suspect's cell phone.

Detective Dustin Moyer stated in court documents that O’Grodnick admitted to making the videos and performing the abuse against the child.

The Probable Cause states “In the videos (the child) is observed to have multiple bruises and scratches on his faces and chin and is crying and shaking.”

The forms of abuse listed include pinching, shoving, choking the child with one hand.

Shortly before Jameson’s death, his mother Graci Simpson shared a heart-wrenching update on Facebook, writing: ‘I want everyone to understand that Jameson is gone.

‘The only thing working on its own is his heart and it’s badly injured/dying best case. He is on life support but will be fully dead soon.’
