Northeast Cartel and Sinaloa Cartel war ends with seven bodies and human remains abandoned across Mexico’s second-most populated city

Seven bodies as well as five bags and ice coolers with human remains were found abandoned Tuesday across the metropolitan area of Monterrey, Mexico’s second-most populated city.
The gruesome findings were the result of the Sinaloa Cartel and an affiliated gang’s attempt to infiltrate the Northeast Cartel, according warnings written on several poster sheets that were left at the seven different points.
The first three bodies were located in the municipalities of San Nicolás de los Garza. The remaining corpses and human remains were discovered in Apodaca, Juárez, García, Monterrey and Santa Catarina.
‘This happened to me for supporting the Rodos and the Sinaloas who wanted to infiltrate me with the C.D.N. and pass information to Toro, La Wera, in charge of drug stores in Juarez and Guadalupe,’ one of two signs placed next two bags of remains read in Spanish. ‘Leave because if not that’s how you’re going to end up. Attn Northeast Cartel.’

Northeast Cartel henchmen also left a garbage bag and two plastic ice coolers with remains next to two poster sheets.
Those warned members of the Sinaloa Cartel and its gang, the Rodos, which is reportedly backed by cartel co-founder Ismael ‘El Mayo’ Zambada, of repercussions if they continue to spy on them.
‘Send me more of these idiots who want to infiltrate us to send them to you as well as these. Don’t be stupid idiots,’ the poster sheet indicated.
Nuevo León state authorities said they were still analyzing the mutilated corpses to determine the exact number of victims who were killed by the cartel.
Local media have reported that 12 people were murdered.
The gruesome discoveries are reminiscent of the bloody period in the 2010s when cartel conflicts engulfed the city. Bodies were often left in the streets or hanging from bridges.

However, the brutality of the violence had subsided in Monterrey, which was recently chosen to be the home of a new Tesla car plant.
The Northeast Cartel, whose split from the Zetas, operates out of the nearby northern state of Tamaulipas across from Texas.
The criminal organization’s leader is also involved in kidnapping and extorting migrants in Tamaulipas and Nuevo León before they can cross illegally into the United States.
The criminal organization’s leader, Juan Treviño, a citizen of the United States, was arrested by the military and police on March 15, 2022 and deported the following day.
