Deli worker accused of clocking customer over sandwich order

This sandwich packed a real punch.

A man who ordered some early morning eats at a Hamilton Heights deli apparently wasn’t pleased with the results. Cops say he began fighting over the sandwich with a deli worker, identified by police as Ali Zubaidi.

The 5 a.m. beef continued outside the shop at 3660 Broadway.

Zubaidi, 26, is accused of punching the unidentified customer, 29, in the face and knocking him to the ground, cops said. The victim cut his hands and neck, police said.

Zubaidi of the Bronx, was charged with assault.

A man who answered the phone at the N & H Deli Saturday afternoon said Zubaidi had worked there for less than a month, and that the aggrieved customer may have been drunk.
