Disgusting footage has claimed to reveal the aftermath of a Delta flight that was forced to turn around mid-air after a passenger had diarrhea all through the plane.
The video, shared on social media Tuesday, shows a stream of liquid feces dripped down the aisle of the jet, believed to have been filmed following the mid-flight disaster on Friday.
Details over the lead-up to the incident remain unclear, with the footage taken after the aircraft had been evacuated showing the aisle covered in paper towels.
The flight took off from Atlanta and was set for Barcelona, but didn’t even make it to the Atlantic before the unwell flyer forced the pilot to return to the airport after the mess was deemed a ‘biohazard.’
Delta said 336 passengers were delayed for hours by the incident, but customers were quick to praise the cleanup crews who scrubbed the jet and replaced the sodden carpets in a five-hour operation. The plane landed in Barcelona eight hours behind schedule.

The footage saw a passenger walk nearly the entire length of the plane to reveal the extent of the liquid fecal mess
The person who shared the footage, who goes by Xansby Swanson on X, formerly Twitter, said their little brother was on the now-infamous flight.
Although he said his younger brother saw the funny side, the incident left hundreds of flyers in limbo as they waited for hours to continue their journey.
Following the turbulence, airline staff were praised after they hastily cleaned the aisle by replacing the carpets entirely, with some claiming the second flight had ‘no smell’ despite the horror bowel movement.
Other passengers shared vile details from inside the jet, including one who said staff used vanilla scented disinfectant that they said just made the plane smell like ‘vanilla s***.’
The aircraft was rerouted to Atlanta at 10:40pm Friday, and eventually resumed its journey to Spain just over five hours later at 3am. A stock Delta plane is seen here

While many have chimed in online to parody or joke about the incident after it unfolded last week, the pilot on the flight was succinct in explaining the problem to air traffic control when he decided to turn the flight around.
‘Divert to ATL – passenger diarrhea all over aircraft – biohazard,’ he said.
Air traffic control audio recordings also reveal one of the pilots confirming the situation over the radio, saying: ‘It’s just a biohazard issue, we had a passenger who had diarrhea all the way through the airplane so they want us to come back to Atlanta.’
The plane was met on the ground by emergency vehicles who took the passenger off the plane before it was cleaned. Delta has remained tight-lipped over specifics, but acknowledged the flight was turned around by an unexpected medical event.
While Delta has remained tight-lipped over how the mid-flight issue unfolded, some fellow flyers have taken to social media to offer details
The plane was only one hour into its journey when it was forced to turn around due to the incident, which was described as a ‘biohazard’ by the pilot
While the airline has kept quiet over how the incident unfolded, some fellow flyers took to social media to offer a glimpse inside the jet.
‘Both my wife and I were on the flight. It was a mess,’ said one.
‘The pilots made the right decision to turn around. The ground crew ripped out the carpet and put new in. Considering the circumstances, the ground crew did a great job, along the attendants and the pilots.’
One woman, whose partner was on the flight, echoed the disgusting video shared Tuesday as she said: ‘It was pretty bad. It was dribbled down the aisle, smelled horrible.
‘The vanilla scented disinfectant used on it only made it smell like vanilla s***. After the plane landed, it was thoroughly cleaned. They didn’t leave until around 2:30am.
‘The flight was met by emergency vehicles and EMTs carried the sick passenger off the plane.
‘My partner said the plane was cleaner when they got back on at 2am than it was the first time they got on. No smell either.’
