His post at the end of last month read: ‘Nice surprise in my garden this morning..’

The cubs played around at the bottom of Mr Sadler’s garden in the 34-second clip and were even left behind when their mother moved on.

Two of the cubs were seen playing close to their mother while the other three rolled around near to the garden fence.

The mother eventually found the gap under the fence and passed through with one of her cubs following. But the other four continued to play around in Mr Sadler’s garden.

Just last week a pair of mischievous foxes got their daily dose of news by stealing a newspaper from a homeowner’s doorstep.

The two cunning fox cubs were caught in the act by a doorbell camera in East London as their mother watched on at the end of the path.

During the coronavirus lockdown, foxes have been taking advantage of the empty streets and upping their mischievous antics.

In Dartford, Kent, an adult fox stole a Hermes parcel worth £120 of electrical goods from Martin Hind, 33, when it was delivered outside the gates of his business.

Elsewhere, in Leeds, Yorkshire, Helen Greenwood set up a camera on her porch to find out who had stolen three lots of her eggs.

In the hilarious footage a cunning fox makes off with a box of 12 eggs which Ms Greenwood had delivered by the milkman.
