THIS is the horrifying moment an XL Bully grabs a tiny dog by the throat in a savage attack – as a man tries to pull the beast off.
The hound's owner was reportedly walking it on a lead in Maghull near Liverpool on Sunday afternoon when it tore free from its collar.
It gripped a small white dog by the throat and viciously shook it in the air.
Passers-by tussled with the XL Bully for nearly five minutes before they were able to prise the little dog out of its jaws.
Merseyside Police said: "We can confirm we received a report that a dog had attacked another dog in Maghull yesterday, Sunday 10 September.
"At around 4.45pm, it was reported a dog, believed to be an XL bully, had been walking on Old Hall Road when it slipped out of its collar and ran away from its male owner.
