‘Instagram-famous’ model Morgan Osman was on her way to surprise her mother who was about to be released from prison when she had her viral plane meltdown.
Osman, 35, had not spoken to her mother in seven years, but decided to surprise her upon her release from York Correctional Institute after she reached out through a family member.
Her mother, Mindy McGloin, 55, had been serving a six-month sentence for violating her probation earlier this year, after being found guilty of breach of the peace, drunk driving and criminal mischief in 2022.
The brunette model got on the plane from Miami to Connecticut on September 14 – the day before her mother was set to be released – but never made it after her screaming match with another passenger.
‘I’ve always told the truth. I’ve written about my mom being an addict and a super abusive mother,’ Morgan told DailyMail.com. ‘I don’t even know what she was in prison for.’

She said: ‘My mom reached out to my aunt while she was in prison and asked for my number while she was in there.
‘I started talking to her and tried to set her up for when she was getting out. My goal on the airplane was to surprise her and pick her up because I hadn’t seen her in seven years.
‘My mom had us too young, and she has mental health issues. She shouldn’t have had any of us that young, as well as suffering with her mental health.
‘She had me and my brothers by different fathers, my grandparents took care of my older brother very well. I got stuck with her.
‘It was a very volatile and unfortunate time for me. I had a really bad childhood, but I became a really great person.
‘I’m 35 years old. I don’t feel bad for myself, and everything’s fine. I hadn’t seen her in seven years. The last time I saw her, I went up there I gave her $3,000 and set her up really nicely.’
Staff at York Correctional Institution confirmed that McGloin had been released from their custody on September 15 – the day after Osman had tried to get to the facility.
McGloin has had a string of criminal convictions dating back to at least 2014 and was convicted of violating the conditions of her release in 2018, as well as criminal trespassing.

She was handed a year-long suspended prison term in 2014 after being found guilty of prostitution, a category A misdemeanor.
McGloin denied the prostitution charges at the time, with her daughter adding that it was a ‘set up’ and her mother went to court to fight the charges after her conviction.
Osman said that she had tried to get to Connecticut, where she grew up, on a JetBlue flight two hours earlier, but it was canceled.
She rebooked on American Airlines in a bid to make it her, before she clashed with aa passenger sat next to her who she claims was shouting at her – adding that neither flight had business class available.
‘I have a meltdown. I start crying my eyes out,’ she said. ‘I’m like, I’ve planned this for a month. My whole family’s waiting. I have a great family. They all had a dinner setup and it was a really big deal.
She added: ‘I’m already really nervous. And I’m the sweetest girl until you f*** with me. I’m surprising my mom. I bring just carry on. I’m there for one day just to pick her up.
‘She has no idea I’m coming. I was sending her money in prison. And I hadn’t seen her in seven years, I know that she has these problems and it breaks my heart.
‘I’ll let people borrow money I don’t even have, I’m an angel, and I’ll help anyone who needs it. And I would never let my mother be without.
‘My family had a dinner setup when I got there, my brother had helped his girlfriend give birth on their bedroom floor it was amazing.

‘I called the girl a bum because she had her phone out, not because she was flying economy,’ she said. ‘The picture of me in a private jet wasn’t planned at all, it all just snowballed.
She added: ‘My new boyfriend has his own jet, and was going to San Diego anyway so I just went with him. I don’t fly private, I’m not going to pay the money for that.
‘I love JetBlue and I’ll always fly with them if I can. I’ll fly private, I’ll fly economy, I’ll take a f***ing Greyhound to see my mother if I have to.
‘If your mom raises you as she’s bipolar, manic schizophrenic, depressed, what do you think I’m gonna be – I’m a maniac, but I’ve cleaned myself up.
