‘Karen’ is escorted away by cops after repeatedly interrupting street performers in New Orleans as crowd chant: ‘Take her home’

A woman was escorted away from a performance area by the cops after causing a ruckus during a street routine at Pere Antoine’s Alley in New Orleans, Louisiana.

TikTok channel @usa.karen.kevin posted two videos of the woman – who has been dubbed a ‘Karen’ – interrupting the entertainer’s set.

She first stood in their way and then flipped the bird at audience members. The woman – who has not been identified – continued to be a nuisance by refusing to move from the area that the street performers needed to continue their act. 

The performers eventually requested that one of the bystanders call the cops to remove the woman after several audience members began booing at her.

The second video consists of a conversation between her and the New Orleans police officers – leading to her being forced away from the scene.

The cops spoke with her for a few minutes after the performers requested that people call the cops in order to handle the situation

The performer who confirmed to be doing ‘flips’ continued to ask the woman to move over and ask why she continued to stay in the area.

He asked: ‘You were just stand right there – why would you come right here in our way?’

The entertainer began to repeatedly ask her to move, and after she refused, he requested that the police be involved.

‘Can somebody call the cops on her please? Can somebody call someone on her please?’ 

The first video continued with the woman beginning a heated conversation with another female bystander while the performer attempted to de-escalate a possible situation.

Once the bystander walked away, audience members continued to voice their anger, one man saying: ‘You ruined it for a bunch of kids – you don’t care.’

The street performers continued on with the event with other smiling bystanders

The woman was finally met with cheers from the crowd – while she was being escorted away

Three police officers arrived to the scene less than 30 seconds into the second video, and the performer, who was no longer holding his microphone, explained the entire situation.

Everyone in the area then began to yell, ‘take her home’ at the top of their lungs while she was talking to the cops.

The New Orleans performance continued on while she was speaking with officers.

A fourth police officer entered the area, and the woman was eventually requested to leave the scene.

Many users on TikTok were annoyed with the woman and what she did to ruin the street performance in New Orleans 

TikTok users have been siding with the performers and been critical of the ‘Karen.’

One person said: ‘Could have moved the crowd and blocked her out.’

Another person said: ‘She would say it’s her birthright.’

‘That’s when you throw rotten fruit at her,’ said another TikToker.

One person commented in a sadder tone: ‘She already got exactly what she wanted. she was the center of attention.’
