A man has been arrested after a woman was found dead inside a home in Melbourne’s west on Monday afternoon.
Police said emergency services were called to a residence on Sutherland Avenue in Melton South and discovered a woman’s body about 1.30pm.

A man has been arrested and is assisting police with their inquiries, they said. He has not yet been charged.
Seven News has reported that neighbours heard a loud argument and a woman’s screams before police were called. The Herald Sun quoted one neighbour saying the man who was arrested was “covered in blood”.

Several police cars were in the area, with multiple roads blocked off, Nine News reported.
