This is the chilling moment a robber told an innocent victim to ‘shhhh’ before a gang of four jumped out of a car to launch a sickening assault on the pedestrian.
The CCTV footage from 10.58pm on Monday night shows a silver VW hatchback stop in the middle of Milton Avenue in East Ham as a pedestrian with a carrier bag walks down the pavement.
Three men jump out the car and surround the pedestrian from three sides, with his back to a front garden wall.
The gang member to the victim’s right – wearing a black coat – grabs him from behind, stopping him in his tracks.
Then a robber wearing a green hoodie gets in front of the victim’s face and puts his right index finger to his lips, to say ‘shhh’.
