He’s behind you! Pantomime horses are joined by Darth Vader and a Star Wars AT-AT walker as they race through Greenwich for their tenth annual charity dash

  • The race, made up of 30 teams of runners, took place earlier today through the streets of Greenwich, London
  • The event kicked off with a free pre-race open-air ceremony that included musicians and a dance-off contest
  • Obstacles such as space hoppers and steeplechases were placed near finish line for runners to contend with

Pantomime horses were joined by Darth Vader, Yoda and Star Wars All Terrain Armored Transport walkers as they all took part in an annual charity dash.

The race, which is now in its tenth year, took place earlier today through the streets of Greenwich, London.

Traditionally there are 30 teams that take part dressed as pantomime horses but this year a Star Wars theme was also introduced.

The event kicked off with a free pre-race open-air ceremony that included a dance-off contest as well as a singer calling herself Princess Leia.

But far from being a straightforward dash the participants have to make pit-stops in six pubs on their way round the route to collect points.

Obstacles including space hoppers and steeplechases were also placed closer to the finish line for runners to contend with.

The day is held in aid of the Make A Wish Foundation which aims to grant life-changing wishes for children with terminal and c illness.
