Shocking moment £25,000 Kia Stonic car bursts into flames along busy road – as driver manages to escape fire

This is the shocking moment a £25,000 Kia Stonic burst into flames while being driven along the road.
Workers from a waste management firm travelling behind the car spotted the flames coming from the vehicle in Luton on Friday – less than two miles away from Luton airport where a huge inferno destroyed a new £20million parking structure last week.
The flames appeared from underneath the white car which was carrying two passengers.
Dramatic footage shows the workers leaping out and alerting the female driver and male passenger inside of the emergency.
The man – wearing a red T-shirt – goes to fetch something from the boot before getting out of the way.

The fire happened in Luton – where 1,500 cars were destroyed in a huge airport fire after a car exploded in the new £20million parking structure at Luton airport.
The men from Boxell Removals beeped their horn and screamed ‘Get out your car, get out your car’ at them.
One jumped out when they got stuck in traffic and ran towards the burning car.
He shouted: ‘Get out. You car is on fire man, underneath.’
In the video, the pair can be seen standing by the side of the Crawley Green Road as the fire takes hold.
Police then stop traffic in both directions and firefighters turn up to tackle the inferno.
The 19-plate car is listed on the DVLA website as being petrol.
A Boxell Removals spokesperson said: ‘Friday the 13th hit this couple hard.’
Local Alfie Clarke said: ‘Luton has a thing with cars on fire.’

Another said: ‘How does that even happen?’
One named Robyn said: ‘I was today years old when I realised cars on fire don’t blow up, like they do in movies.’
Another called Becky said: ‘With the price of shopping, I would have grabbed it and all.
‘Glad they’re safe though.’
A Bedfordshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: ‘On Friday, 13 October at around 14.24pm, we were called to reports of a vehicle on fire on Crawley Green Road, Luton.
‘One fire engine from Luton attended the incident, and firefighters used breathing apparatus, hose reels and a thermal imaging camera to safely extinguish the fire.
‘A scene safety zone was implemented by Bedfordshire Police alongside the fire service.
‘Fire Control received five repeat calls to this incident.’
