Supercar shutdown as vehicles clog up streets of London

Supercar shutdown! Dozens of Lamborghini, Ferrari and McLaren sports cars clog up streets of London on New Year’s Day drive out to Piccadilly Circus and The Mall

Petrol-heads have descended upon the capital to start the New Year in style with a dazzling fleet of powerful supercars.

Central London’s streets were clogged with modified vehicles after drivers gathered in Battersea Park earlier today in the south-west of the city.

From there the convoy headed to Piccadilly Circus and the Mall, as sports cars crammed into centre to show off their sleek bodywork.

Lamborghini, Ferrari and McClaren cars were among the shining vehicles that showed up in force to celebrate the drive out.

But it wasn’t just high-performance engines that turned out, as vintage saloons were also spotted among their quick counterparts.

The meeting – which began at 2pm today – specified that only ‘highly modified’ cares were allowed to attend the January 1 celebration.
