He is currently serving a 20-year prison sentence after being found guilty of carrying out the brutal acid attack in 2017, leaving 16 people with serious injuries.

Collins, 31, was previously being held in Category A HMP Woodhill, Milton Keynes, but has since been moved to HMP The Mount in Hertfordshire — which prepares prisoners for release by teaching them barista skills.

A source told The Mirror that Collins was moved to the prison for ‘good behaviour’ after just six years.

They said: ‘This is a quick turnaround for someone given 20 years to be in such a sedate Category C prison.

‘He will have the opportunity to be involved with making coffee, which is likely to give him a skill on the outside.’

HMP The Mount provides coffee for ‘Redemption Roasters’, which in turn provides the professional barista training in the prison.

The source told The Mirror: ‘The scheme is aimed at readying people for the outside, which might alarm his victims as he should have 14 years of his sentence left.’
