President Trump said Friday he will nominate William Barr to replace Jeff Sessions as his attorney general, and State Department spokeswoman Heather Nauert as the next US ambassador to the UN.
Barr, 68, a Republican lawyer, served as attorney general under George H.W. Bush, who passed away last week at the age of 94.
Nauert will succeed Nikki Haley, the former South Carolina governor, who announced in October that she would step down as ambassador at the end of the year.
