Two Brits, 36, arrested for ‘raping UK holidaymaker they met for threesome at Majorca hotel leaving victim hospitalised’ | The Sun

TWO Brit men have been arrested in Spain for allegedly raping a third UK holidaymaker they met through gay dating app Grindr.

The alleged incident took place at an unnamed hotel in the east-coast tourist resort of Cales de Mallorca.

It's been reported the man ended up in hospital needing stitches for injuries he suffered during the alleged sex attack.

The man who arranged to meet the two suspects is said to have told them in messages before and conversations after they hooked up that all he was interested in was “kisses and cuddles” because he had never had full sex, according to local reports.

The alleged rape occurred last Friday after he accepted an invite to the other two men’s room after they had enjoyed drinks around the pool.

The local news outlet, Ultima Hora, said he fled the room following the "sex attack" and after realising he was hurt, went to a hospital in the nearby town of Manacor where medics gave him stitches for his injuries.

The suspects, who have not been named, are said to have been released on bail pending an ongoing criminal probe after appearing before a judge on Saturday.

The hearing took place behind closed doors, a common practice in Spain, where only trials are held in public.

The alleged victim is understood to have given investigators screen grabs of the messages he exchanged with the other two Brits on Grindr where he made it clear what his limits were.

In their first official comments, a National Police spokesman said: “National Police officers in Manacor arrested two British men last Friday as the alleged perpetrators of a crime of sexual assault in a hotel in Majorca.

The force added in a statement: “The victim began chatting through a dating application with two men who invited him to their room and proposed a trio.

“The complainant agreed to go to the room but made it clear he did not want sex, just company and demonstrations of affection.

“Once the three men were in the room the evening began as the alleged victim had envisaged it, but things then began becoming sexual.

"Despite distancing himself from it he ended up being allegedly sexually assaulted, suffering injuries, and having to go to a hospital.

"In view of the situation, the protocol for this type of crime was activated, with an investigation beginning that concluded with the arrest of the two men as alleged perpetrators of a crime of sexual assault.”

Friday’s detentions follow a number of other rape arrests in Majorca over the summer.

The most high-profile were those of five French and one Swiss tourist in the early hours of August 14 at the BH Mallorca Resort in Magaluf following the alleged gang-rape of a British 18-year-old.

They were all remanded in prison by an investigating judge leading an ongoing probe.

Two more suspects were subsequently held in France on European Arrest Warrants so they could be extradited to Spain.

Less than a fortnight later three British holidaymakers were arrested on suspicion of raping a woman at another Magaluf hotel.
