We knew our neighbours from hell were STEALING from us… so we set up an elaborate ‘bottle trap’ to catch them red-handed | The Sun

A WOMAN was certain that her next door neighbour was stealing from her, so she set up an elaborate trap – and documented it all on TikTok.

In the TikTok, Jade says she knew her neighbours had been stealing from them, and took to the comment section to say she wanted revenge.

She and her flatmates installed security cameras surrounding each area of their house, including the patio, the driveway and the garden.

Then, they cleverly filled empty vodka bottles with water and left it in their garden to see if their "crackhead neighbours" would take it.

The multiple security camera angles shone light on the scene of the crime, and the culprit was caught red-handed.

Jade immediately posted the evidence on TikTok with the caption "there goes the crackhead that I see each morning."

The video quickly amassed thousands of views, with users taking to the comment section to praise Jade's creative trap.

Many users said that they hoped Jade continued to mess with her neighbour. And a few went as far as to ridicule the "crazy crackhead".

Some comments suggested that Jade put laxatives in the vodka bottles next time. Others promoted bleach or antifreeze.

But this isn't the first time that a neighbour from hell has been outed on social media.

TikTok has been fraught with users sharing their neighbour woes, as well as their ingenious ways of entrapping the culprits.

Like Kennady Oliver, who was able to catch the neighbour that was pilfering her parcels through another neighbour's doorbell camera.

Another victim took to Reddit to post a photo of their garden after their neighbours stole their fence, and their wooden umbrella stand.

And one woman who had several packages stolen from her took revenge by creating a zine that she put in a decoy package for the thief to find.
