We live in the UK's 'WORST' city – it's been described as 'urban hell' but we're fighting back… we love it here | The Sun

RESIDENTS in a city sometimes branded Britain's "worst" say they love it and haters can sling their hook.

Birmingham was recently the subject of a brutal TikTok which described the West Midlands metropolis as an "urban hell".

The clip – which comes as Birmingham City Council declared bankruptcy – is part of a series on crummy cities across the world and featured mostly skyline snaps of Birmingham.

Images of fly tips, aged council tower blocks, housing estates and views across the city's arterial motorways were also thrown in for good measure.

And people were quick to throw shade on the city – population 1.14 million – in the comments section.

One nasty user blasted: "I've been to Birmingham a couple times in between bus journeys and we walked around for a couple hours and its just as bad as it looks."

While a second slammed the Druids Heath area in the south of the city as "the worst place I've ever been to".

Coventry, Rochdale, Luton and Leicester have also been targeted in the disparaging reels on the Cairns Property account.

But Brummies say the TikTokker – who has 59,000 followers – rehashed old pictures and have misrepresented their beloved city, BirminghamLive reported.

One said: "There are very old pictures – Birmingham is much better these days.
