Who is Joanna Dennehy's daughter Shianne Treanor? | The Sun

SHIANNE Treanor was just 13 when her mother Joanna Dennehy committed one of Britain's most heinous crimes.

Who is Shianne Treanor?

Shianne Treanor is the daughter of serial killer Joanna Dennehy.

Her father John left Dennehy over claims she had been unfaithful and when the living situation became unbearable, he moved with his daughter to Norfolk.

However, the former couple managed to rekindle their relationship and moved to Wisbech where Dennehy worked on a farm.

But Dennehy's violent behaviour continued and John finally took the plunge and left after she stabbed a six-inch knife into the carpet.

Shianne was 18 when she decided it was time to learn about her mother and so decided to write her a letter.

She told the Daily Mail: "I was really cold because I thought she hated me. I told her I wasn't looking for a relationship with her, I just wanted to know why.

"But I got a letter full of love and warmth and how much she wanted to have me in her life. I just cried. It was so emotional."

She said she had been nervous ahead of meeting her mum in prison but was desperate to get answers.

"When I got into the visit hall I had to take a double look when I saw her. She looks completely different.

"We both just cried. I asked her, 'Why?'

"She apologised to me. It doesn't make it right and doesn't excuse anything but I wanted the apology.

"Part of the punishment is that she will never get to see me grow up or get married."

Shianne later revealed her mental health deteriorated the moment she was told of her mum’s horrific crimes.

She told The Sun: “I lost all my senses and fell to the floor crying.

"The first thing I said was, ‘Will I turn into her? Will that be me?’.

“I have suffered from mental health issues — from eating disorders to self-harming to depression, anxiety, paranoia.

“I thought because I was going to turn into her, ‘Maybe I should end it now, get it over and done with, so I don’t hurt anybody’.”
