A mother selling her ironing board for £5 was left creasing herself after spotting Margaret Thatcher in it.
Karen Schmit hadn’t noticed the resemblance to the Iron Lady in the burn mark when she posted the item for sale on Facebook.
However, eagle-eyed commenters quickly pointed out she had the former Prime Minister’s side profile burnt into the multi-coloured cover while others joked that it could be Queen Elizabeth II.
The £5 listing is still live but Karen, 63, said she’s not selling the metre-long board and its cover anymore.
She wants it as a keepsake as it had belonged to her late mum – who would have ‘loved’ the resemblance.

Margaret Thatcher, who died in 2013, was dubbed the Iron Lady over her no-nonsense leadership style and politics
Part-time teaching assistant Karen, from Norwich, said: ‘I was clearing stuff out. I don’t like anything to go to waste.
‘People said they could see a face in it.
‘One person said the Queen – then the Thatcher comments started coming through. People said it was the Iron Lady!
‘It’s not on sale anymore. I’ve kept it, because it’s so funny. My mum would have loved it.’

Mother-of-one Karen said the ironing board was ‘a bit of fun – a bit of nonsense’.
But she’s less keen on Thatcher as a prime minister.
‘She wasn’t for me,’ Karen said.
