Britney Spears dances in sheer dress
Britney Spears sparked a frenzy within her fanbase in the late hours of Thursday night as she shared another clip dancing in her underwear and a see-through dress.
Although the pop star has become known for her bizarre dance routines and risque outfits on Instagram over the past year, Thursday’s upload marked a major change for the 41-year-old.
The Toxic singer allowed fans to comment on her post for the first time in months as she danced to a remix of Tove Lo’s Habits.
She kept to her usual cryptic captions, writing: “Just a game of a little CHESS YOU CAN’T DO THAT … YOU CAN’T DO THAT … well … I JUST DID!!!” with a string of upset, smirking, laughing and middle finger emojis.
While it’s not clear what prompted the mother-of-two to make this change, fans came in droves to leave their opinions with many claiming it was the exact reason she had disabled her comments in the first place.

One pleaded with the pop star: “Britney sweet heart, you are so beautiful, rich and talented! Please stop making videos wearing these kind of clothes. You are not a stripper. We don’t want to see your body, we just want to see you happy!
Countless others were far more brutal in their judgements, with some questioning how Britney’s two teenage sons feel about her Instagram posts and one declaring the singer “ridiculous” and “narcissistic” for needing “this much validation”.
A few even took aim at those supporting the Woman in Me writer in the comments, blasting: “This behavior is not who she really is and anyone who supports it is not helping her. It’s really sad.”
As usual, there were a fair number of conspiracies claiming the videos are all old clips, from last year or even during her 13-year-long conservatorship according to some, and the singer is not actually free of it at all but rather her bizarre posts and captions are someone else’s’ doing.

However, a majority of Britney’s fans were overjoyed just to be able to comment on her video and defended her from the critics as some took a more lighthearted approach to their criticisms, jokingly slamming the Hollywood star for having her “Christmas tree up before Halloween”.
One fan declared: “These comments are the reason she usually has them disabled.”
Another shared: “I tell people you’re just trolling the trolls. Ignore the negative comments and be happy!” while countless others dubbed her a “gorgeous queen”.
The comments section wasn’t a permanent addition to Britney’s Instagram page, which she has titled Maria River Red, as her very next post disabled the comments as she shared a throwback selfie from her garden cryptically captioned: “3 months ago … time flies!!! PSSS … meet River!!!”
