Corrie’s Daniel Brocklebank escapes UK as he spends ‘amazing’ time with new beau

Corrie: Daniel Brocklebank discusses Billy’s storyline

Coronation Street’s Daniel Brocklebank is on a break away from the ITV soap with his new boyfriend, who he went Instagram official with this summer.

Jordan Coulthard, a musician who released a new single in July, seems to have captured Daniel’s heart – and the pair have now whisked each other away to Crete.

Sharing a video montage of memories, showing the happy couple enjoying the beach and pool, the star confessed: “Crete you’ve been amazing!

“My first time abroad since 2018 & it was worth the wait,” he declared.

Although Daniel’s character Billy Mayhew is struggling to come to terms with the limited life span of his on-screen boyfriend Paul (played by Peter Ash) after his diagnosis with MS, it looks as if his real-life romance is going from strength to strength.

Last month, the pair were spotted catching Lionel Richie’s set at Lytham Festival – and even ran into EastEnders actress Cheryl Ferguson, who plays Heather Trott.

She shared a selfie with the happy couple on her Instagram account, appearing to confirm their romance, before Daniel went public himself a couple of weeks later.

The couple’s latest holiday has attracted supportive comments from Corrie stars past and present, with Catherine Tyldesley (formerly Eva Price) posting a string of love heart emojis for the couple.

Meanwhile, his co-star Jane Hazlegrove, who currently plays Bernie Winter in the soap, exclaimed: “Happy days darling and well deserved!”

Daniel, who – as well as being an actor – has also described himself as a voice artist and “dog dad”, was inundated with fan comments too.

Referring to his on-screen performance on Monday, when he and fictional boyfriend Paul leapt naked into a lake, @anitab666 joked that their holiday seemed “a bit warmer than that skinny dipping scene on TV last night”.

In stark contrast, in warm and sunny Crete, the pair could be seen paddle-boarding and tucking into delicious food platters by the sea, as well as raising a toast together.

“That water is so clear! Handsome couple!” gushed @spanglefluffy4.

@tony.westmacott chimed in: “Looks like you’re all loved up and having a great time both.”

Meanwhile, Daniel also offered fans an insight into his lifestyle with another recent post featuring him “getting back to nature” with a barefooted outdoor walk.

He explained that he was “grounding” – the term given to deliberately walking in nature without shoes to make contact with the Earth’s electrical charge.

Some say that the therapeutic technique boosts wellness and decreases inflammation and stress, while the unusual practise has even been featured on the NHS website.
