Dean Gaffney talks ‘karma’ after his car is broken into
Dean Gaffney has claimed that the vandals who raided his car in London will receive “karma”. The ex-EastEnders actor took to social media early on Friday to reveal that his vehicle’s window had been smashed in.
On December 8, the 45-year-old uploaded a video to Instagram showing the extent of the damage. In a quick clip, posted to his 119,000 followers, he first panned the camera to show that the driver’s window had been totally annihilated.
The father-of-two then zoomed in to highlight that shards of glass had been scattered all over the driver’s seat. Receipts, tissues, and bits of paper could also be seen out of place.
Dean wrote over the top of the video: “I could get angry but what’s the point… Let karma work its magic… Xmas time in London… Definitely a headache I could do without.” He ended his sentiment with a monkey covering its eyes emoji.
Earlier this year, the former I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! star made headlines after he opened up about his recent health scare. Ahead of his possible reappearance in ITV’s 2020 Covid-safe series, he said that medics flagged warnings for bowel cancer.

Opening up about the ordeal at a later date, Dean told The Mirror: “There is no doubt I’m A Celeb and its medical team saved my life.
“I might not be here today if it wasn’t for them finding what they did.”
He said that “within hours” of having the medical examination, he was rushed to emergency services and was put into a hospital gown.
It’s said that the actor – best known for playing Robbie Jackson in EastEnders – was shocked to find a number of polyps had developed in his large intestine.

“Within hours I was in a hospital gown and under general anaesthetic and they took it out,” Dean told the publication.
The Londoner also claimed that if the I’m A Celeb tests hadn’t flagged the polyps when they did, he could be living with bowel cancer.
Dean said that at the time of his operation, the doctor told him: “Had you not come to us today, in three years that could have turned to bowel cancer. You’ve been very lucky.”
Despite the setback in 2020, the former Misfits star was later cast in the all-star special of I’m A Celeb in South Africa.
Appearing alongside Joe Swash, Amir Khan and Carol Vorderman, he was eventually named as the seventh celebrity to be eliminated. He left the jungle on the same day as former Coronation Street actor Helen Flanagan.
Tune into Series 23 of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here every night at 9pm on ITV and ITVX.
