Gogglebox’s Amy Tapper has taken to social media to detail her recent health scare, and why she has been so quiet on Instagram in recent days.
The Channel 4 favourite posted a statement on her official Instagram story and apologised to her fans for being silent.
“Sorry for the radio silence guys. Currently in bed, can’t lift my head off the pillow with a severe migraine and vertigo,” she explained.
She reassured her followers that despite her health woes, she is on the mend, adding: “I’m on pills and will be back soon.”

The family, which consists of Nikki, Jonathan, Amy and Josh, became firm favourites as they shared their reactions to some of the nation’s most watched television programmes.
Although they were loved by thousands, sadly the Tappers said goodbye to Gogglebox in 2018 after five years on the show.
Amy has since embarked on a dramatic weight loss transformation, having previously opened up about her incredible three stone drop, which she achieved in six months.
In 2020, she appeared on ITV’s Lorraine and explained the motivation behind her weight loss journey.
The media personality said: “I think there are a lot of things that are quick fixes and you just put the weight back on.”

She also added that she was trolled by viewers when she first started on Gogglebox.
“When I was younger and I did see it they did say horrible things,” she added. “As I got older I realised that they don’t actually know me.
“It’s taken me a lot of years to learn but I am lucky that I was still young when I realised.”
Amy now regularly keeps her fans updated on her weight loss journey with posts on Instagram.
In a post in October last year, she shared: “I’m so proud of how far I’ve come but I’ve still got a way to go… just over 3 stone down AND -18cm around my waist, at the best mental and physical health I’ve ever been and I genuinely could not be happier!”
