Did Kanye West gatecrash strangers’ wedding in Florence? Video from ceremony appears to show the star pose for photos with delighted US couple (though with face covered beneath his odd outfit)
- The man believed to be West shook hands with the beaming bride and groom
- He is seen dressed in West’s typical all-black outfit he has been wearing in Italy
Kanye West crashed the wedding of a random couple in Italy, much to the delight of the bride and groom, video appears to show.
West and his ‘wife’ Bianca Censori have caused a stir in the country after a series of controversial public appearances in recent weeks, including being caught with his buttocks on show and with his wife’s head in his lap during a boat ride in Venice.
But this time, his public antics appear less likely to cause upset as it appears he was spotted in a TikTok video greeting the happy couple and taking pictures with them.
The footage, which went viral over the weekend, was captured in a church in Florence and shows the beaming bride and groom shaking hands and making small talk with a man believed to be West, as camera flashes go off. ‘Imagine getting a pic [with] Kanye West at your Italian wedding,’ the video’s caption reads.
‘In Atlanta, we live right above Grant Park,’ the Groom is heard telling him. The man thought to be West is draped in the rapper’s familiar all-black uniform which covers most of his body and face, meaning his face isn’t actually seen in the clip.

It was not clear what prompted him to make an appearance at the wedding, or exactly when and where the video was captured in Florence.

The controversial rapper is no stranger to surprising people at weddings. In 2016, he jumped on the mic at Miami nightlife mogul Dave Grutman’s ceremony and referenced his infamous Taylor Swift incident at the 2009 VMAs.
‘Imma let you finish,’ Kanye said at the wedding. ‘But Dave and Isabela had one of the best weddings of all time!’
The video emerged a day after MailOnline revealed West and Censori are being investigated by police after they were caught in a compromising position in Venice.
The couple sparked controversy last week while in the romantic city of Venice as West exposed his bare buttocks while on a boat and Bianca was seen kneeling in front of him.
In other images the American rapper, 46, was seen seated at the back of a river taxi while Australian Bianca, 28, nestled her head in his lap.
The company operating the boat have since banned the couple for the ‘obscene’ incident, and police are not understood to be investigating.
West is expected to be questioned in the next few days about what exactly he saw on the boat and police are also asking for photographers to hand over the images that were shared around the world.
A Venice police source said: ‘There are standards of public decorum that have to be followed by tourists and locals alike and any breaches are severely punished.
‘The images of West with his trousers down while in a taxi as he and his partner crossed the lagoon were seen all over the globe.

Prior to boarding the boat, West was covered from head-to-toe in an all-black ensemble while Censori wore a knee-length trench coat which she teamed with a pair of nude heels
The couple have made headlines for their odd wardrobe choices, with critics taking aim at Censori for ‘going around virtually naked’ in the conservative Catholic country
‘You could clearly see his trousers were half down and we have received complaints from people who witnessed it. Now we have identified the driver of the boat and we will be asking him what he saw as well.
‘The images show the couple clearly in a state of intimacy and if the local prosecutor decides to press charges then we will notify the couple, most probably through the relevant embassies.
‘The offence being investigated is acts contrary to public decency which is punishable by an administrative sanction.’
Venetian officials have also expressed outrage – hardly surprising considering the city issues fines for infractions like swimming in the canals, open air picnics and sprawling on the steps of public buildings.
