Madonna’s tribute daughter as she prepares for celebration tour
Madonna has been slammed by some of her fans after they attended her The Celebration tour over the weekend at London’s O2 Arena.
The 65-year-old’s concert finished at 11pm, but fans were left disappointed when four of her hit songs were missed from the setlist.
The reason for the abrupt end to the show could be the venue’s policy of finishing no later than 10.30pm on Sunday evenings.
Fans took to social media to point out that the singing superstar would have had time to complete the two-hour tour if she had arrived on stage at the starting time of 9pm.
Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, one fan fumed: “@Madonna please start a bit earlier for your next two @The02 shows!

“Cutting the end of your show is short changing your loyal fans! We all know you’re a rule breaker, so if run over break the rules and pay the fine!”
Another follower expressed: “At #MadonnaCelebrationTour last night. Some brilliant bits – the memorial to those lost to AIDs – but it started an hour late on a Sunday when tube shuts early.
“So no encore, Material Girl, Like a Virgin. And the sound system worse I’ve ever experienced at @The02. #shortchanged.”
A third Madonna fan added: “Amazing performance last night @Madonna #MadonnaCelebrationTour slightly gutted it was cut short though.”

And a fourth raged: “Very mixed feelings about #MadonnaCelebrationTour last night. The show we got was great but it started v late & therefore we were robbed of a finale/encore. Rain was a terrible song to end on & I left feeling deflated. Not what I & the fans paid a lot of money for.” (sic)
The Like A Virgin singer previously apologised to her fans on opening night when the show suffered a technical glitch four tracks in.
“This is exactly what you don’t want to happen on your opening night, so this wasn’t my plan – I’m sorry,” Madonna apologised to the 20,000-strong crowd.
But despite the technical glitch, the mum-of-six filled the unexpected interlude with a candid chat.
She invited her support act Bob The Drag Queen to talk onstage with her, before reminiscing over her early days when she’d been “broke and hungry and making zero cash”.
