Shannon Wilcox has tragically died at age 80.
The Hollywood actress, who appeared alongside Willie Nelson in Songwriter, with Dudley Moore in Six Weeks, and opposite Al Pacino in Frankie and Johnny, died September 2, 2023, in Los Angeles.
Her death was confirmed by her talent agent Peter Young, and has only been announced now due to the family’s privacy.
The star’s daughter, fellow actress-director Kelli Williams also confirmed the sad passing to The Hollywood Reporter.
Shannon’s cause of death is set to be announced.

The beloved actress made her onscreen debut on the action series Starsky and Hutch in 1976.
From then on she later featured on several series from the late ’70s to ’80s, including the short-lived sitcom Sirota’s Court, Dog and Cat, Hawaii Five-O, Hart to Hart, Magnum, P.I., and Buck James.
In 1990, she landed a recurring role as Anita on Dallas, in which she appeared in a continuing story arc in the 13th and 14th seasons involving Larry Hagman’s J.R. Ewing.
Some of her most recent roles were in leading dramas like ABC’s Grey’s Anatomy as Irene Sholman for the 2020 episode titled Save the Last Dance for Me.

Fans may also recognise Shannon for her performance as Mrs Roach in season eight of NCIS in 2011, fronted by Mark Harmon, as well as its spin-off show, NCIS: Los Angeles in 2016, in which she played the character of Summer.
The actress also made a name for herself on the big screen as she worked on films such as 1982’s Six Weeks alongside Dudley Moore and Frankie and Johnny opposite Al Pacino which premiered in 1991.
She also played the mother of Elisabeth Shue’s Ali Mills in John G. Avildsen’s The Karate Kid and appeared in other notable films throughout her career, including Se7en, Runaway Bride, The Princess Diaries and its 2004 sequel, The Border, The Other Sister, and more.
Tributes for Shanne have since poured in from friends, co-stars, and fans all over the world as they mourn her death.
