Peter Andre on the ‘strict’ parenting rule he swears by when it comes to Princess

When it comes to parenting, singer and dad of four Peter Andre believes everything has to be equal and has exclusively revealed the one rule he lives by.

In his weekly column, the star admitted that as his kids – specifically Princess, 16, and 18 year old Junior – must be given the same set of rules and that he can't be stricter with one and not the other.

He said: "I really am protective over Princess. But the one thing I’ve learnt as my kids get older is that I need to treat them equally and can’t be stricter with one.

"Any rule that applies to Princess applies to Junior, and I always say to them that they’re role models for their younger siblings."

Peter's eldest daughter Princess exclusively caught up with OK! recently for her first solo photoshoot and discussed how she is ready to strike out on her own, to revealing her exciting new beauty career plans.

“I’m feeling a bit nervous because it’s my first shoot alone, and I’m a bit like, ‘Oh my God, I’m doing this on my own!’” she laughed. “At the same time I’m really excited because I think it’s nice for people to get to know me and understand where I’m coming from – and not just think they know me for who my parents are.”

The 16 year old also opened up about how 'excited' she is for the newest addition of her family to arrive – Peter's fifth child.

The Mysterious Girl singer and wife Emily MacDonagh delighted fans when they announced recently that they’re adding another little one to their family, with Emily due to give birth next year.

It will be the third baby for the couple, a sibling for Theo, seven, and Amelia, nine. Princess was only nine when Theo was born, so next year’s arrival will be a very different experience.

“I’m honestly so excited,” she beams. “I literally love babies, they’re just so cute, so I’m really looking forward to it.”

So does that mean she’s fully on board with the newborn nappy changes?!

“I wouldn’t say fully on board” she said, laughing. “No, I’m only joking. I feel like I’m a good big sister, and now that I’m older I can help with things and look after the baby.”

Princess and Junior have four younger siblings – Bunny, nine, and Jett, 10 – who are their mum Katie Price's children from her marriage to Kieran Hayler, plus Theo and Amelia. They also have two older brothers – Harvey, 21, and 18-year-old Junior.
