Shirley Ballas will be back on TV when Strictly Come Dancing  struts back onto BBC 1 on Saturday 16 September.

The head judge 63, first joined the panel 2017 after the late Len Goodman stepped down from the role and instantly became a favourite amongst fans who were gagging to learn more about her life off screen. 

Shirley was previously married to former ballroom star Sammy Stopford from 1980 to 1984 before tying the knot with dancer Corky Ballas in 1985 with the couple splitting up in 2007 after 22 years together

She is now engaged to actor Danny Taylor, 50, after first going public with their relationship in 2019, and despite him surprising her with a diamond ring the TV star recently admitted ‘changing her mind’ about tying the knot with the handsome hunk.

Who is Shirley Ballas’ fiancé Danny Taylor?

Danny is an actor and met Shirley at pantomime rehearsals for Jack And The Beanstalk in 2018 in Darlington.

He has tread the boards in numerous theatre roles and recently toured the country in a play about the late comedian Tommy Cooper. 

As well as appearances on the small screen with roles in The Bill and Brookside.  

Like Shirley, Danny trained as a ballroom dancer and even released an album in 2015 called The Party Is Over.

Danny also shares a son with Bread actress Sharon Byatt and often shares snaps of himself to social media enjoying quality time with the lad.

She said: ’I’ve changed my mind. I just feel that at this particular point in my life, my mother and I have got this great relationship and we want to do some travelling and there is different things we want to do’.

Shirley previously addressed rumours she’d split from Danny after admitting she hadn’t seen him in ‘months.’

She confessed it’s ‘miraculous’ the pair were together as they struggle to see each due to their busy schedules.

Shirley told The Sun: ‘Danny, we’re still together after four and a half years. That’s miraculous.

He has a very busy schedule and I have a very busy schedule.’

She went on to say that her busy lifestyle means she’s ‘all over the place’ but they try ‘to make it work’.
