AFFORDABLE skincare with all the benefits can be at your fingertips with this moisturizer made from an animal product.
One fan swears by it but she admitted to adding a fragrance to make the smell less farmyard-like.
Kate (@365gethappy) is an enthusiastic user of this unusual cream and has insisted you don't have to spend much on skincare.
“All natural moisturizer," said the TikToker who has 169,000 followers.
It might appear to be a novel recipe for glowing skin, but she is a passionate advocate.
One commenter to her post agreed and helpfully explained what tallow was – many were unfamiliar with the product.
But it didn't sound very appetizing.
"It is rendered down beef fat. It sounds questionable but the skin health benefits are amazing," they said.
First, Kate explained how to make her concoction, and it was super easy with just two ingredients.
“Today we are making our own moisturizer for either face or body from beef tallow," she wrote.

“I apologise now to any vegans. But ideally, you want organic, grass-fed tallow."
This is easily available from Amazon for a range of prices starting from $24.
“The only other ingredient I’m going to add today is rose water to hide the beefy smell," she said.
But you could add other scents to hide it.
Into a bowl she scooped some tallow and added a teaspoon of rose water.
This was then whisked: “All nice and creamy and smells like roses," she said of the finished cream.
“And there you have it, natural face or body moisturizer, using all natural ingredients that’ s going to leave your skin super hydrated."
She loved the effect on her own complexion.
“Just remember, you don’t need to be spending a fortune on skincare routine when you can easily make these things for yourself.
"And they’re better and not full of toxic crap," concluded Kate.
Some commenters were already on the case.
“I love it. It’s one of my favorites. We make our own too. Add some frankincense to it," said one person.
Another used it but it prompted an unusual response: “I use that. My daughter gave me a kiss goodnight and told me I smelt like a farm lol. It’s really good though.”
There was agreement from experts, who said there could indeed be benefits to using beef tallow.
