A CLEANING expert has shared her routine for washing Ugg old slippers to make them look and feel brand new again.
Lynsey Crombie has earnt herself the title of Queen Of Clean thanks to her cleaning hacks – and her laundry routine for slippers is set to be a winner this winter.
Taking to TikTok, she shared how she revamps her beloved slip-on Uggs ahead of the colder seasons.
“Want your Ugg slippers to maintain their appearance and look good for longer then you are going to need to give them a little TLC?” Lynsey said.
“Machine washing isn’t always recommended but we do ours a few times a year and the results have always been fab!
“In between washing ours, we spritz ours with dry hair shampoo or pop outside for some fresh air.”

For that daunting washing machine clean, she detailed the best way to do so without ruining their quality.
First things first, the slippers need to be the only thing in your washing machine.
They should be washed with a wool specific laundry detergent and a scoop of bicarbonate soda in the drum to “bring back the fluffiness and banish odours further”.
When in the washing machine, the slippers need to be done on a wool setting.

If you don’t have this, set your machine at a cool temperature (ideally below 30 degrees) and a gentle spin cycle.
The specific wool detergent Lynsey uses is the Clothes Doctor is the No3 Eco Wash Cashmere and Wool Detergent.
