Lorraine Kelly’s replacement steps after shake-up as viewers make same complaint

Christine Lampard stepped in for Lorraine Kelly on the ITV daytime show.

The regular host was missing from her slot today but her absence was not mentioned by her stand-in during Monday’s show.

It comes after Lorraine, 63, was missing from her show on Friday (October 20) with former BBC Breakfast presenter Louise Minchin filling in for the broadcaster.

Viewers took to X, formerly Twitter, as they addressed the Scottish-born presenter’s show absence.

One person tweeted: “So Lorraine off because of school holidays! And Christine in because of school holidays!”

Another fumed: “Ah yes. Lorraine has half term off despite her daughter not having been at school for about 20 years, only to be replaced by someone with school age kids. The usual makes-no-sense move #Lorraine.”

A third wrote: “So Christine Lampard, who has young kids, steps in and hosts Lorraine during half term so Lorraine Kelly can also have half term off. Her daughter is 29. Her and Susanna Reid both have an air of entitlement.”

Another quizzzed: “Where is Lorraine?”

Christine, 44, did not mention the reason behind Lorraine’s absence but it is likely she is taking her holiday for half-term, which most of the long-term ITV presenters do.

Good Morning Britain presenter Susanna Reid is also absent from her morning show this week.
