I created an easy dinner with Aldi McDonald’s dupe – it’s 10 times better and fuss-free | The Sun

A FOOD lover has revealed her mouth-watering "carbs on carbs" dinner, created using a McDonald's dupe from Aldi.

Emma, from Edinburgh, regularly shares her simple recipe ideas with followers on social media (@eat_with_emmma).

After a recent trip to Aldi, the savvy Scot rustled up her own take on a crispy chicken burger.

She said: "Here is my peri peri fiery crispy chicken burger with some loaded nachos on the side and ready in 17 minutes.

"Perfect for those days when dinner needs to be fuss free and carbs on carbs.

"Super simple too."

And the key ingredient, Aldi's version of McDonald's chicken selects which cost just £2.69 for four.

Emma said: "What an Aldi dupe. These crispy chicken pieces are supposed to be like McDonald's chicken selects [but] I can confidently say they are 10x better.

For her easy meal, Emma popped her chicken strips into the air fryer for 15-18 minutes.

In the last five minutes, she "generously" coats the pieces with another Aldi dupe – the Nando's-inspired peri peri garlic sauce (£1.49).

While the chicken is cooking, toast your burger buns and add some cheese to melt on. Emma used seeded brioche buns, which cost £1.09 for a pack of four, and smoked cheddar cheese.

To finish off the meal, Emma said: "Add your nachos to your plate, I covered mines in salsa and topped with some peri peri chicken OH MY.

"Then assemble your burger. I added some more salsa and peri peri sauce, enjoy ."

And social media users are desperate to give the simple dish a go.

One gushed: "Craving a dinner like this."
