I test trending make-up dupes – here’s the products worth your money, and the items to avoid | The Sun

A BEAUTY influencer has shared her pick of the best make-up dupes on the market.

Australian cosmetics-fanatic Laura Bui shares clips of her testing out viral replicas of expensive products on her TikTok account @lauraxbui.

And if you’re looking for a bargain, you might want to listen up.

The savvy make-up whizz first drew a line down the middle of her face, so viewers could easily compare the high- and low-priced products side-by-side.

Laura’s first recommendation is L’Oréal’s Infallible foundation, which she swears is exactly the same as Nars Sheer Glow foundation, but less than half the price.

The influencer applied both products with a beauty blender, showing off the near identical shade and coverage of L’Oreal’s £11.99 dupe, compared to Nars’s £38.40 offering.

The influencer then showed off SHEGLAM’s £4 liquid blush, which is a dead ringer for Rare Beauty’s £22 product.

The two had nearly identical packaging and both blended out seamlessly, with the £4 blush leaving her cheeks looking every bit as rosy as their more expensive rival.

Laura then applied Maybelline’s Fit Me loose powder which you can pick up for around £6.

Viewers were surprised to realise it is virtually indistinguishable from Laura Mercier’s loose powder, which would set you back £29 – nearly five times as much.

In a second clip, Laura gave Maybelline’s £12 4-in-1 Glow foundation a huge thumbs up, claiming it's basically identical to Charlotte Tilbury’s £39 Flawless Filter.

Her final pick was Essence’s What The Fake! Lip Plumper, which she popped on her lips as a perfect alternative for the more pricey Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb lip lacquer, which sells for £18.

“Both sides look the same,” the influencer captioned a shot showing off her complete face of immaculate make-up, “but the dupes cost much less.”

Laura shared the clips to her 370,000 TikTok followers, who went wild for her money-saving tips to look flawless on a budget.

The two videos quickly racked up almost 1.3 million views between them, with most users confessing that they actually preferred the cheaper look.

“The cheap side for me is prettier,” one viewer commented.

“I like the dupe side more,” another agreed.

“The dupes are downright better than the real,” a third fan added.
