Following this, Amira explained that over the knee boots aren’t ideal for those wanting to look elegant, as she revealed: “Over the knee boots – they just never look flattering or elegant.

“Perhaps you could try wearing them with a longer skirt or longer dress. You know, just to be warm and they look more okayish.

“But if you want to wear them, for example with a mini dress or mini skirt, I do not recommend it.

“There are in fact better ways to wear mini skirt or mini dresses and look elegant at the same time.”

Amira then shared her thoughts on chunky loafers, as she claimed: “Chunky loafers – I would not opt for them and I do not recommend them for any lady wishing to look elegant or feminine.

“They just do not look feminine or attractive on women's feet.

“These shoes are too chunky. They will look out of balance.”

Finally, in Autumn, Amira explained that open sandals need to be ditched, as she concluded: “Lastly, open toe sandals. Open toe sandals are a summer item and they are not appropriate to be worn during Autumn time.”

The TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @amira.bessette, has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it has quickly amassed 20,500 views.

However, social media users were eager to disagree with Amira’s claims and many took to the comments to express this.

One person said: “Cowboy boots are super trendy. I'm gonna wear them and look classy and fierce!”

Another added: “Don’t agree with you on over the knee boots. I also don’t agree with your thoughts on open toe shoes. If you live in a sunny place, they are a go.”
