I've never been so embarrassed as when I got my first bikini wax – I got a bit carried away following their instructions | The Sun

A STYLE-CONSCIOUS woman was left red-faced when she got the rules of waxing completely wrong.

It was her first-ever visit to a beauty salon for hair removal.

Therefore, she did not understand what she had to do or what the etiquette was.

She followed their instructions to the book — or at least she thought she did.

However, she interpreted the instructions in a literal fashion and paid the price.

It was an easy mistake to make, but she cringed with embarrassment when she realized she got a bit carried away.

Julie M (@jxli3_m) booked an appointment for a Hollywood wax, also known as a full Brazilian.

She shared her trauma in a post to her TikTok and had 111,000 holding their stomachs as they laughed so hard.

“Thinking about the time I got my first Hollywood wax," she said.

The beautician explained what she needed to do: “I was told to take off my underwear."

So far so normal, but things were about to take a turn.

"But I proceeded to take off all my clothes and laid on the waxing table completely naked," she recalled.

The pain of the memory was clear: “Never been so embarrassed.”

Typically, women simply undress from the waist down for a Brazilian wax.

There were many words of reassurance from viewers, but she took particular comfort from one fan.

“Awww that’s not so bad. You’d be surprised how many people have done the same," they said.

Julie was relieved to hear this, writing: “This makes me feel so much better knowing I’m not the only one.”

She remembered the waxer being sweet too: “To be fair, she was really nice about it and just asked if I had booked another service she wasn’t aware of.”

Julie gave commenters a good giggle.

“Batman would’ve had to come and save me," said one person.

Another said: “You paid for a service and they got a show.”

Her embarrassment at least provided some entertainment: “I just know that wax lady is telling the story to this day.”
