PRESENTING a perfectly roasted turkey to the table is one of the highlights of the Thanksgiving feast.
Anything else, and it can spell disaster. But you don't have to entertain those fears anymore, because these hacks guarantee culinary success.
The "skewer" tip is simple yet genius, taking just seconds to do but will produce crispy skin hours later when the bird comes out of the oven.
Traeger Grills (@traegergrills), had even more secrets up her chef's sleeve to "help you on your way to a crispy, juicy bird."
“Here’s three tips to make your turkey a guaranteed success," he said in his post.
For the first one, you needed to grab either a skewer or a cake tester. Both would do this job.
“If you want extra crisp skin on your turkey, you just get a skewer – or cake tester – and poke holes all over the turkey."
That was it, nothing more, the most effortless of tips.
Next, he suggested an unusual alternative to conventional turkey basting foods.
“Instead of using oil or butter, try using mayo," he said, as he slathered some all over the turkey.

“It’ll help adhere [to the bird] and give you a beautiful crispy skin."
His last suggestion, made good common sense.
“Instead of cooking one massive turkey, try cooking two smaller ones.
"[They'll] cook faster and you’ll get more dark meat," he said.
“Feed a crowd with multiple birds and keep it simple to satisfy family and friends."
Commenters were grateful for the turkey hacks.
“Loving the tips. The mayo rub makes a huge difference," said one person.
While another had already adopted one of his hacks: “I’ve been cooking two smaller turkeys for the last couple of years and is way better."
