My sister's dress for my wedding is too sexy – she'll end up flashing my guests, people say it's tacky & I should elope | The Sun

A BRIDE-TO-BE is worried that her sister will flash her wedding guests in the revealing dress he picked out.

She even threatened to revoke her sister's invitation — and Redditors think she should elope after she shared photos showing what the dress looks like.

The 26-year-old, who is set to get married in February, wrote a lengthy post on Reddit complaining about her sister.

She explained that they were raised in a liberal household where they were allowed to wear whatever they wanted.

Her sister, who is two years older than her, has always dressed “very skimpy” but it doesn’t feel appropriate for her to wear that style of clothes at her wedding.

Still, her sister is set on a skin-baring gown.

“My sister, who is also one of the bridesmaids has shown me what she intends to wear. I was shocked, to say the least," she said.

“The dress shows clearly that she's not wearing a bra or panties because it has a slit up to her waist and her back and chest are barely covered.

“I'm uncomfortable with her being around other people especially my fiance and his family looking like that. My parents see nothing wrong with her outfit.

“I told her if she doesn't find a different more decent dress, then she is no longer one of the bridesmaids and she's not invited to my wedding anymore.”

STORM TRAGEDY

Storm Babet claims 1st victim as woman, 57, dies after being swept into river

The bride explained that the bridesmaids were told they could wear an outfit of their choice but it has to be within her color scheme.

She said her sister thinks she’s being controlling because she doesn’t approve of her dress.

She continued: “Her chosen color sticks to the color scheme and that's okay but the design makes me feel it's not appropriate.

“I don't want my sister flashing my guests but she called me an AH [a**hole] when I disinvited her.

“Now she and my parents are not talking to me. My fiance said he had no opinion on it and would go with what I decided.”

The bride likened her sister’s choice of dress to a striking pink thigh-slit dress Beyonce wore while performing as part of her Renaissance World Tour in Amsterdam.

The sparkly pink frock featured slits on both thighs up to the singer’s waist and a cross-over section on the chest that exposed her breasts.

The bride asked if she was being unreasonable by asking her sister not to wear such an eye-catching look.

Responses to the post were quick to reassure her that she could choose the dress code for her wedding and accused her sister of seeking attention.

One person commented: “It’s your wedding, not hers. If she wants to dress like that and not respect your wishes then she absolutely should not be in the wedding party.”

Another said: “That dress is totally inappropriate for your wedding. This is also incredibly attention-seeking, and she’s not the main character at your wedding.

“She should choose something else.”

A third chimed in: “That has got to be the tackiest s**t I’ve ever seen in my life. Good luck with this one, but you have my vote for an elopement.”

Another added: “You screwed up by not being more specific I guess or in assuming that your sister would have a modicum of decent.
