A FASHIONISTA has said the viral Skims dress has lived up to its hype, but she had some serious reservations.
She said it was beautiful but felt compelled to issue a warning to any would-be shopper of this number.
Do not, she said, be tempted to bend over in it at any time.
If you do, then you might live to regret it and what it might reveal.
The reason behind her advice was that this hugely popular item was also very sheer.
So sheer in fact that it made Dani (@dani_apples) gasp in horror when she realized what was going on.
This New Yorker has 115,000 followers on her TikTok, where she has fun with fashion.
But there was nothing funny about this dress when she leaned over.
In her post, she retrieved the slinky, figure-hugging Long Slip Dress, $78 from its packaging: “Skims dress try-on," she said.
It was clear by her reaction, that she liked what she saw.

At least, that was until it came to the moment when she had to stoop over, and the sheerness of the fabric became startlingly clear.
“Beautiful dress, just don’t bend over in it," she warned. "It's very sheer."
One commenter was grateful for the heads up: “If I ever get that same dress I’ll remember not to bend over. Thanks for the warning.”
But Skims reviewers weren't affected in the same way.
" I had high expectations for this dress because of how viral it went and the hype is real, I'm obsessed," said one happy customer.
"The material is that signature luxurious ribbed material from Skims and hugs my curves in the best possible way, it's so flattering."
And this buyer was equally thrilled: "Thank you Skims. Extremely satisfied. Wonderful fit and fabrics. Very flattering. No bra or shapewear underneath is needed."
