Major burger chain that's loved by Ed Sheeran to open 13th restaurant in unlikely Scottish location | The Sun

PLANS have been lodged to open Scotland's newest Five Guys – and it is not where you think.

All-American Five Guys Burgers and Fries first packed up their tasty menu and took it overseas to London in 2013.

A year later they brought their burgers, hotdogs, sandwiches and fries to Glasgow’s St Vincent Street for their first Scottish venture.

Five Guys has restaurants all across the country including haunts in Edinburgh, Dundee and Aberdeen.

And the next stop for the king-sized burger provider will be Dunfermline in Fife.

Plans for the 64-seater restaurant at the Fife Leisure Park have been drafted up with a 26-seat outdoor area for punters to enjoy their burgers alfresco.

The Dunfermline branch will be the 13th Scots store to open the last nine years.

Famed for not having freezers or microwaves in any of its restaurants, Five Guys knocked Nando’s off the top spot for the UK’s favourite fast food chain in 2016.

The chain boasts over 250,000 possible burger combinations, over 1,000 possible ways to customise a milkshake and 100 soda flavours on the Coca-Cola Freestyle Machine.

They are known for their 'generous' portions of chips with every cone coming with an extra scoop in the bag.
