Morrisons unveils Christmas menu including cheesy jalapeno pigs in blankets and chocolate orange pudding | The Sun

CHRISTMAS is less than 100 days away and Morrisons has already released its festive menu to help get shoppers prepared early.

The supermarket has not just revealed the food on offer for the big day but for all your festive plans.

From the classic roast turkey to quirky but tasty Christmas sides, Morrisons has everything to offer this festive season.

A spokesperson for the firm said: "Over the past year, Morrisons team of talented chefs and product developers have been working hard to bring customers the best Christmas range to date.

"From sharing starters and showstopping centrepieces, to unique party food and indulgent desserts. 

"Many items will be hand-prepared in stores by Morrisons butchers and bakers on Market Street who are also on hand to answer any questions ahead of the festive season."

King scallops with a champagne sauce

This starter contains king scallops doused in a delicate Champagne sauce and topped with a mooreish parmesan crumb.

The supermarket describes the starter as a decadent dish to start festive proceedings.

It serves two and will set shoppers back £5.50 when it hits stores from December 20.

Frozen lobster and king prawn mac n cheese bakes

The starter will hit stores in early October

Indulgent and deliciously sweet lobster and king prawn pieces are smothered in a rich cheese and chive sauce for the ultimate mac and cheese.

The dish is finished with flat leaf parsley and tangy Wyke Farm vintage cheddar.

It serves two and will set shoppers back £5 when it hits stores from October 2.

Medium higher welfare bronze whole turkey

The 3.5-5.49kg turkey is a perfect pick for a classic Christmas dinner, alongside crispy roast potatoes.

Morrisons' bronze turkeys are reared slowly for a fuller and richer flavour.

One turkey serves between 7 and ten and will set shoppers back £8.49 when it hits stores from December 18.

Slow cooked Scottish venison shanks with whisky sauce

The meat is seasoned with a juniper, rosemary and black pepper rub, and slow cooked on the bone for six hours for tenderness and flavour.

It's served with an indulgent creamy sauce made with Scotch whisky.

The dish serves two and will set shoppers back £18 when it hits stores from December 18.

Cheese and Jalapeno pigs in blankets

Featuring hot peppers and lashings of melted cheddar, these pigs are not one to pass up.

But don't worry, if spice isn't your thing you can grab traditional pigs in blankets too.

The side serves two and will set shoppers back £3.50 when it hits stores from October 27.

Boozy brandy stuffing parcels

The stuffing is seasoned with cinnamon and nutmeg and wrapped in delicious dry cured bacon.

The parcels are great served as starters or as an alternative festive side.

The side serves six and will set shoppers back £4 when it hits stores from November 27.

Chocolate orange pudding with honeycomb

The pudding with honeycomb features the softest sponge, which is accompanied by a small sachet of luscious chocolate orange sauce and a pouch of festive decorations.

It's enough to get the whole family involved according to the supermarket.

The dessert serves six and will set shoppers back £8 when it hits stores from December 15.

Deep filled mince pies

The mince pies are made with an all butter pastry.

Each contain an indulgent brandy and cider infused mincemeat, and a warming blend of spices.

The sweet treat serves six and sets shoppers back £2.50 and it's already available in stores.

But Morrisons isn't the only supermarket to have shown off its Christmas offering for 2023.

Iceland revealed its Christmas range last week and it includes a pigs in blanket toastie and festive tree lollies.
