‘My parents kicked me out for selling sexy pics – but now I’m millionaire at 26’

An influencer who's made her fortune sharing sexy snaps online says her parents don’t approve of her job – despite her being a self-made millionaire at 26-years-old.

Jasmine Teaa first started flogging racy photos online when she was a broke college student, which was in a bid to get back on her feet financially. And luckily for her, it became a total success and raked her in the cash.

However, the money has come with a heartbreaking ultimatum – as her parents allegedly “disowned” her and kicked the model out of the family home when they discovered her lucrative side gig. Heartbroken, Jasmine nearly quit but soon thought better of it.

“I had points where I questioned what I was doing and if it was right for me, especially because of the sacrifices I was making,” Jasmine, who has 446,000 followers on Instagram page @jasteaa said.

“Growing up, I didn't have a great relationship with my parents because they kept me in a bubble and didn’t let me go out drinking or go to parties. I had no friends and I was so sheltered.

“But it wasn’t until they found out about my sexy photos that I realised how narcissistic they were. The turning point came when they gave me the ultimatum of doing my job or being part of the family. I realised their love was conditional.”

When she was starting out, Jasmine, from Los Angeles, US, confided in her sister, Aly, 24, about her career but kept it a secret from her parents. She claims her mum snooped at her bank statements and found the true source of her income.

She said: “I had paper statements being sent to my home address and they had a tendency to open up my mail anyway. When my mum saw the income from a company she didn’t recognise, she looked up the name and found out it was an adult site.

“As soon as I got home, she tore into me. She was so upset and they said that if I was going to continue doing it, that I wasn’t their daughter anymore. I packed up my bags and went to live with a friend.

"My sister respected my career and she stood up for me. I really appreciate her for that, as she never judged me and was a good support system throughout all of that ordeal.”

Jasmine now has droves of fans online and pulls in $1 million (£807,000) per year. At first, she only shared nude and lingerie-clad images without her face but eventually decided to embrace her new life.

The clever businesswoman did a ‘face reveal’, which saw her get $20,000 (£16,000) from eager followers in one go. Thankfully, her family life has also improved with her parents eventually coming around after seeing how happy their daughter was – and they are “very proud” that she can stand on her own two feet.

She said: “It took us two years to make up. We didn't talk for a while but I eventually realised I wanted a relationship with my parents despite everything, so I reached out to them and asked if I could treat them out to dinner on Mother's day to celebrate.

“We were able to reconcile at dinner and they said that as long as I'm safe and happy with what I'm doing, they'll accept it. I’m a lot closer with them than I have ever been and they can see that I’m able to support myself.

“I’m not someone they have to worry about anymore and they’ve done well out of it as I take them to nice dinners and plan family fun days out. It took a lot of time for them to become accepting of what I do. But it was a blessing in disguise, as it helped me grow into the person and success I have today.”

Jasmine’s 27-year-old boyfriend, who does not wish to be named, also supported her throughout the family troubles. She added: “After my parents found out, he gave me a place to stay and I really appreciate him for providing a safe space where I felt loved unconditionally, unlike I was with my parents.

“Looking back, I would tell myself that while it’s hard right now, things will get better. It was difficult to navigate, as I had to figure it all out on my own, but now I feel empowered. When I think about what my career has provided me and all I’ve achieved because of it, it takes any doubts away.”
