Quality Street brings back discontinued flavour after 20 years – it's a fan favourite and shoppers will be delighted | The Sun

NESTLE is bringing back a Quality Street fan favourite last seen in chocolate tubs over two decades ago.

The chocolatier has revealed its coffee creme flavour will make a welcome return ahead of Christmas.

But fans won't find the iconic flavour in the usual Quality Street tubs.

The sweet treat will be available inside Quality Street's festive cracker and advent calendar this year.

You'll only be able to pick the calendars and crackers up in Waitrose and John Lewis and they hit the shelves from September 20.

Meanwhile, shoppers will be able to add the coffee creme flavour to any pick 'n' mix tins, available at selected John Lewis branches.

Shoppers recently took to social media pleading for it to make a return to supermarket shelves.

One said: "If you [Quality Street] could bring back the coffee creams in Quality Street, I’d appreciate it."

Another added: "Needs to come back permanently. Coffee creme was my favourite as a child and my whole family would fight over them."

The coffee creme flavour isn't the only thing making a comeback this year.

Shoppers will also be able to create their own bespoke Quality Street boxes at John Lewis this festive period too.

The retailer is bringing back its popular pick 'n' mix stands, with John Lewis' flagship store in Oxford Street, London, opening its stand on September 27.

A number of other stores will be unveiling stations across October, including in Bluewater, Bristol, London and Cheadle.

Meanwhile, branches in Liverpool, Solihull, Leeds and Nottingham will be opening up stands to the public.

Shoppers will be able to pick from a number of flavours, including coffee creme and green triangles.

Customers will be able to fill up a tin for £15 or refill an old John Lewis Quality Street tin for £12.50.

Meanwhile, shoppers can buy a personalised tin for £17.

It's not the first time in recent months a retailer has announced a nostalgic treat is making a comeback.

Muller delighted shoppers in July when it launched the Muller Corner Mississippi Mud Pie yoghurt in Asda stores.

And just last week it relaunched its strawberry and chocolate orange balls Muller Corner flavour too.
